OZARK fans have spotted a major plot hole in Marty’s bid to buy a rival casino in season three of the Netflix series.

Viewers have pointed out that Big Muddy Casino owners Carl Knarlson (Adam LeFevre) and wife Anita (Marceline Hugot) would’ve known the Byrdes already owned a casino on the river.

One Reddit user wrote: “How didn’t the other casino know Marty owned a casino?

“When Marty convinces the casino owner across the water, how doesn’t that guy know Marty owns it?

“Marty was all over TV and just opened up a huge casino. How doesn’t their competitor know who he is?”

In reality, an opening of a new casino in the area would’ve caught Carl and Anita’s attention.

And the Byrdes were also behind a change in a major law regarding casinos, which only adds to the confusion.

Season three saw Marty (Jason Bateman) and Wendy (Laura Linney) expand their money-laundering operation by purchasing Big Muddy Casino.

The couple – without revealing they own a rival casino nearby – make an offer to owners Carl and Anita.

They decline, so Marty and Wendy take matters into their own hands.

Season three recieved rave reviews after it’s “jaw-dropping” season finale.

It saw Marty try to get the FBI to take down a rival drugs cartel lead by Navarro (Felix Solis).

However, he ends up on a plane to Mexico with Wendy and Navarro’s attorney Helen (Janet McTeer) to attend the drug cartel’s son’s baptism.

Minutes after landing, Helen is shot in the head by one of Navarro’s henchmen, before the criminal embraces Marty and Wendy and declares: “This is the beginning”.

A second tweeted: “Quite enjoying Ozark, AKA Breaking Bad, accounts’ edition. More likeable characters than BB had.”

A third agreed, writing: “Watch Ozark. It’s like Breaking Bad but more money laundering less drugs.”

Ozark is available to stream on Netflix now.
